Recently I was able to receive the Paleo Plus Prime package with a variety of 14 samples from www.sizzlefish.com and here is my review!
I received my order in a temperature control package, each sample individually sealed in a perfect portion. My order consisted of : Halibut, Wild Caught Salmon, Cod, Sea Scallops and Shrimp.
Each sample thawed and cooked beautifully, below is recipe with the use of the Sea Scallops!
Ingredients: Sea Scallops, Forbidden rice, 4 Roma Tomatoes, red onion, 2 tblsps Balsamic Vinegar, 2tsp of minced garlic, 3tblsp of butter, olive oil, garlic salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, fresh basil
Directions: Thaw and pat dry sea scallops, season with garlic salt, pepper, paprika and set to the side. One note I'd like to add is the scallops already come with the hinge removed which is great!
Dice roma tomatoes into chunks and small dice red onion and add to a sauce pan of olive oil about 1/2tblspn and minced garlic, keep on low and let the tomatoes reduce. As the tomatoes reduce, add balsamic vinegar, oregano and basil, continue to cook and reduce until a nice consistency. Season to taste.
Any rice of your choosing will be fine, I suggest a sticky rice for this dish as I choose black forbidden rice. Cook according to the instructions on the package. Season rice with a little garlic salt and butter. Set aside
Heat a pan with butter and add the scallops to the hot pan, press down as you add each one to achieve a nice sear. Cook for about 3 mins on each side, remove from pan and let rest, scallops will cook gently the rest of the way.
Now assemble your plate with rice, reduced tomato sauce and top with pan seared scallops! This is a delicious decadent dish with hearty earthy flavors with the balance of the delicate scallops! I absolutely loved it and would recommend Sizzle Fish to any one who is trying to keep a pescetarian household. With the seafood being individually packaged you can cook exactly what you need without wasting food or worrying if the unused product will spoil, this is the greatest aspect! I do hope you all give it a try, please visit www.sizzlefish.com for your first package!
